| Closer to reality. |
Saab have been on the receiving end of not one, but two bits of "good news" lately. First, Switzerland's Parliamentary Security Committee has voted 14-9 in favor of a Gripen E purchase, bringing the Swiss Air Force one step closer to procuring the new jets.
Meanwhile, the Czech republic has agreed to extend its current lease of Gripens, after some scuttlebutt with the previous governing party. The interim government has begun the process, but final decisions will have to wait until the next government forms.
Neither case is a "sure thing" yet, but both are steps in the right direction.
